Central Region Primetimers

CENTRAL REGION SENIORS GARDEN PARTY
We had a great time with a group of our senior leaders on Tuesday 30th of June. Although we had showers of rain we also had showers of blessing. The guests certainly had close fellowship as most of them squeezed into the gazebo on David and Beryl Skelton’s lawn as the rain poured down!. Still, they seemed to enjoy the close fellowship!
Everyone appreciated the fellowship, fun and food. Of course we had to have strawberries and cream just to keep up with Wimbledon!
David Poulton came with his piano accordion and led us in a time of singing which was very special (even the neighbours appreciated it). We also had a time of prayer especially praying for seniors that would love to have been with us but because of health problems were not able to.
Our next event will be a holiday at Rhos-On-Sea in August for a number of the senior leaders. It is the high light of their year.

CENTRAL REGION HOLIDAY AT RHOS ON SEA

August 10th saw several of the retired ministers from the Central Region make their way to St Winifred’s Hotel, Rhos-on-Sea. We were delighted to be together again in such a lovely venue. We enjoyed four wonderful days of fellowship and relaxation and were inspired by the times we had around the Word of God, especially helpful was the word from George Brunton, our guest for the week, on ‘The Why’s of life’.
We enjoyed good weather which enabled us to make our annual tours of the Charity Shops! We enjoyed walking along the sea front, playing ‘putt’ in the grounds of the hotel and our Mystery Tour which this year took us to Caernarvon, Criccieth and Betswy Coed. We had a great time. The week culminated in a visit to hear a Welsh Male Voice Choir in Llandudno. It was especially enjoyable this year as this was the choir who had won the Eisteddford the previous week – you could say they were the best singers in Wales but there again they had not heard us worshipping morning and night in the hotel.
We look forward to next year.
